Description:
OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate French Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in French language instruction, a love for teaching, and the ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans. This position offers the opportunity to work with students of various levels and backgrounds, helping them develop their language skills in a supportive and immersive environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in French language, education, or related field.
- Native or near-native proficiency in French.
- Previous experience teaching French to students of varying ages and proficiency levels.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Knowledge of language teaching methodologies and best practices.
- Familiarity with language assessment tools and techniques.
- Proficiency in using technology for language instruction.
- Flexibility, creativity, and a passion for teaching and learning.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in French language, education, or related field.
- Teaching certification or credential in French language instruction.
- Experience living or studying in a French-speaking country.
- Experience teaching French as a second language (FSL) or as a foreign language (FL).
- Experience with curriculum development and program coordination.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week

Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive French language lessons to students of all levels, from beginner to advanced.
- Create engaging and interactive lesson plans that incorporate a variety of teaching methods and resources.
- Assess students’ language proficiency levels and adapt teaching strategies accordingly to meet individual learning needs.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in French.
- Organize and lead cultural activities and events to enhance students’ understanding and appreciation of French culture.
- Utilize technology and digital resources effectively to enhance the learning experience.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessments.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to curriculum development and program improvement initiatives.
- Stay informed about current trends and best practices in language teaching and incorporate them into instructional practices.
