French Primary Teacher

MISSION

The main mission of the primary teacher is to help students acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to meet the expectations of the French curriculum.

SKILLS,ABILITY AND REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

• French Ministry of Education tenured teacher or equivalent
• Experience in kindergarten and/or elementary education required
• International experience is a plus
• Knowledge of the French education system
• Organisational and interpersonal skills with families and school partners
• Very good writing and speaking skills
• Strong teamwork skills and committed to making projects successful
• Mastery of digital tools
• Ability to design, implement and lead teaching and learning situations suited to a wide variety of students
• Ability to adapt to non-French speaking students
• Able to work in a transversal and multidisciplinary way
• Proficiency in English (B2 level and above) is appreciated for supporting bilingual students and families

• Teaching all the subjects of primary (mathematics, French, science, arts etc.)
• Designing and implementing learning or teaching situations based on French programs and standards
• Convey subject knowledge
• Designing and implementing assessment methods of student’s learnings, in liaison with other teachers or professional partners
• Ensuring students acquire skills including capacities, attitudes and procedural knowledge
• Leading the class and foster students’ interest and participation
• Provide personalized monitoring of students by working closely with their family and participate in their educational project
• Contribute to teamwork and establish the conditions for a real partnership at the service of the student.
• Ability to co-teach
• Contributing to the operation of the school and its growth (involvement in projects and events, etc…)
• Adapting his/her teaching to the diversity of students by providing each of them with the necessary support, and measure their achievements
• Using information and communication technologies to support learningsExercise of specific functions (coordination, English class +, and so on)
