• Consistently create floral designs incorporating effective and innovative use of colors, floral materials, vessels and accent materials, while meeting established criteria for Tipton & Hurst design styles and cost of goods in a Studio environment
• Day to day responsibilities will be dependent on business needs including, but not limited to event design and installation, as well as participating in corporate, residential, gift and custom design and installation
• Develop a working understanding of the basic Tipton & Hurst Styles of design and accurately create gift line designs based on established standards
• Meet and consistently maintain required standards of production
• Successfully interpret clients’ wishes on custom design orders
• Provide outstanding customer service in the Tipton & Hurst Way - “Guaranteed Satisfaction Since 1886”
• Assist clients with floral and accessory product selection and design floral and plant product based on skill and experience level.
• Care and handling of all our products including fresh flowers, plants, silk flowers, floral supplies, gifts, table top, interior décor and accessories.
• Assist in floor displays and seasonal décor design both fresh and silk.
• Enthusiasm, positivity and a passion for taking care of people is essential.
• 2+ years of custom floral design experience - this is not an apprentice position
• Design studio is desired but not required; equivalent studio/visual arts or visual merchandising background may be considered
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a team-oriented environment
• Proven ability to efficiently and professionally meet client needs
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a high level of enthusiasm and self-motivation
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs on a regular basis
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Flexible schedule required, including regular weekend availability
• Peak business periods will require extended work days and work weeks
