Description:

JOB SUMMARY

Guest Services/Front Desk Assistant candidates should be customer oriented, outgoing, and a self-starter and be able to work independently with little supervision. Candidates must be at least 16 years of age, be available during weekends and have a reliable mode of transportation to the park.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A self-starter with a friendly and outgoing personality
  • Must be customer oriented and possess strong communication skills
  • Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions, and stand/ walk for longer periods of time
    Job Type: Contract Full time, day/early evening shifts

Responsibilities:

GUEST SERVICE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist visitors with questions/directions
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for visitors through ushering presentations (greeting, directing, crowd control, distributing online survey slips)
  • Initiate conversation with visitors to conduct onsite market research surveys
  • Distribute Mombasa Market Food Surveys to restaurant customers
  • Input research data into monthly reports
  • Sundry office duties (answering telephone lines, providing general customer service, taking group bookings)
  • Assist Sales Department with Corporate Picnic programme on event days or any administrative tasks as assigned
  • Perform any other duties assigned by Marketing/ PR Department

FRONT DESK ASSISTANT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answering telephone lines, providing general customer service
  • Assist with group bookings including monitoring all bookings, coordination of tour bus usage, step on guide service and food and communicating relevant information to all other departments
  • Confirmation of bookings and all relevant information to clients
  • Answering base radio calls
  • Assist with the Wake Up The Wild experience on scheduled days
  • Responsible for office closure on scheduled days
  • Perform any other duties assigned by Administrative Coordinator
  • Responsible for Administrative Coordinator duties on their days off
