Description:
JOB OVERVIEW:
The Front Desk Associate will provide exceptional customer service and be the friendly, helpful, professional receptionist at the front desk to our clients, vendors and associates.
Compensation: $22-23/hr
FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client’s property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client’s directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Must have experience in customer service and working with Microsoft Office products.
- Strong communications, verbal and written, and inter-personal skills essential.
- Responsible for maintaining Company, Resident and Staff confidentiality.
- Telephone Etiquette; Resident Database Resources; Basic understanding of office equipment.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalency required. College level courses in business or hospitality preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

- Must be mobile enough to move about the facilities, including up and down stairs and recreational areas and navigate uneven surfaces.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
- Must have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard. Must be able to actively talk and listen to clients, vendors, co-workers and supervisors.
- Full time position where schedule may change based on business needs..
- Overtime may be required from time-to-time, based on business needs and as approved by supervisor.
- Consistent and regular attendance required.

Responsibilities:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Must be able to sit for long periods of time at the front desk with a pleasant disposition to greet clients and guests cordially.
- Must be calm and able to handle many functions at one time.
- Must be willing to stand, open the door and greet incoming clients.
- Must be able to hear in order to receive telephone calls and interact with clients.
- Must answer incoming calls immediately and operate the company paging system.
- Handle and distribute urgent mail, packages, checks and other business documents.
- Complete data entry into various company systems in support of business needs.
- Label, fold and stuff business mail as directed.
- Straighten chairs, clean countertops and assist in keeping the work area and lobby professional in appearance.
- Be able to coordinate conference room reservations and IT equipment reservations.
- Work effectively with co-workers, clients and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others; keeping commitments; being willing to accept other tasks when requested, and respecting the diversity of our workforce in actions, words and deeds.
- Attend all company mandatory functions.
- Cross-trained in other Facility related duties and responsibilities.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Other reception duties as assigned.
