Job Description
Canterra Suites Hotel is a boutique hotel in the heart of the city seeking a hardworking individual to fill a part-time Front Desk Agent position for evenings and weekends. The Front Desk Agent is an important position in which you are the first person the guest will see when they arrive and the last person they see upon departure. It is important we maintain the Hotel’s High Standards of guest services and cleanliness and require someone with integrity, great personality and is respectful to all people, guests, and employees. The Front Desk Agent will report to the general manager regarding duties aside from daily duties and responsibilities. The agent in this position will ensure efficient Front Desk operations, exceptional quality of service to each guest and patron, whilst maintaining positive and professional attitude.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Creating Reservations and assigning suites.
Taking all calls to the hotel and assisting or directing accordingly.
Checking-in/Checking-out of arriving/departing guests.
Entering and ensuring all guest account information and billing is correct in system.
Assist guests with any questions regarding the hotel services.
Ensure all guest needs are met.
Ensure that all hotel policy and procedures are followed.
Registering and confirming complete guest information upon Check-in/Check-out.
Provide information to the guests and patrons about goods and services in the community.
Completing daily Cash/Credit transactions
Maintaining professional personal attire, service and hygiene
Posting of charges and pertinent notations.
Notations on daily inventory of items from departments within the Hotel.
Completing all daily check lists and tasks.
Qualifications:
Previous customer Service experience.
Telephone communication skills.
Energetic personality, and calm under pressure
Punctuality and time management skills.
Able to work weekends and evenings.
Computer skills required
Conflict resolution skills
Ability to multi-task
Detail oriented.
Strong communication skills in English both verbally and written.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and with a team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 36 per week
