Description:
- First point of contact for Human Resources and the Employee Entrance for the Washington Ave Baking Center. Answer employee entrance door, greet employees, temporary employees, and check in visitors, and direct all parties accordingly and in compliance with our food and safety policies.
- Provide additional welcome support to employees including badge and locker issue and assignment, and partnering with maintenance and other leaders when non-conformance issues arise.
- Answer incoming calls, including the employee emergency line, and directing calls or taking messages accordingly.
- Provide assistance with UKG employees self-service such as mobile access support, app navigation, password reset, check stub access, schedule access, PTO requests, etc.
- Support onboarding and orientation preparation and day of activities for newly hired employees.
- Assist recruiter with scheduling interviews with supervisors, initial employee paperwork, enter new hires in UKG for onboarding, assist with on-demand onboarding, follow up reminder calls to new hires.
- Support Payroll by completing data entry projects, distributing live checks to employees
- Monitor incoming/outgoing employees and compare active work hours with timesheets, and report findings and direct any issues to relevant leadership.
- Oversee and support employee engagement events like quarterly employee anniversary party, company picnic, and Christmas Party.
- Celebrate birthday with monthly employee birthday cards.
- Maintains the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of colleague files, both paper and electronic. Requests missing information from departments as necessary.
- Compose and prepare letters, memos, correspondence, etc., using word processing software.
- Prepare mass mailings and electronic communication. Additionally, print and collate relevant Human Resources materials.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Requires High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
- Bi-Lingual in Spanish and English is strongly preferred
- 1+ Year Administrative Experience Required
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as employee policies and procedures, handbooks, and benefit information.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and problem solve.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; and Database software and Google Suite.
