*TRAINING PERIOD: TO GIVE YOU THE MOST EXPERIENCE WITH ALL FACETS OF THE FRONT DESK, YOU WILL WORK WEDNESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY 12 P.M. TO 8 P.M. ONCE YOUR TRAINING PERIOD ENDS, YOUR REGULAR SCHEDULE OF 4 P.M. TO 10 P.M. BEGHINS.*
We are looking for someone who, from time to time, is able to pick up an extra shift or swap shifts should the need arise.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 year+ of experience as a motel front desk or very busy office/call center within the past 3 years
- excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- basic computer skills - Microsoft Office (version 2019 or later) or Google Workspace programs*
- basic math and English skills*
- able to type a minimum of 30 wpm with 95% accuracy or higher*
- Spanish helpful but not required
- friendly, pleasant phone voice
- cheery, outgoing demeanor
- ability to deal calmly and politely with difficult people and difficult situations
- ability to work well in high pressure situations
- ability to work independently
- ability to exercise good judgement
- neat handwriting
*Tests will be given in these areas during your interview
Responsibilities:
- handling all aspects of the reservation process
- assisting guests
- closing the office
- processing payments
- completing daily settlements
- cleaning the office areas
- coordinating with housekeeping regarding room status/room and guest needs
- Build rapport with guests and identify their needs through friendly conversation and open-ended questions
