JOB DESCRIPTION/SUMMARY
Provides receptionist support for the direct care teams at 700 Airport Road
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience: Medical office or healthcare customer service/clerical experience preferred;
- Ability to use Microsoft Word;
Responsibilities:
- Courteously greets consumers and visitors in person or via telephone, determines their needs and directs them accordingly
- Exhibits a trauma informed approach to customer service, maintaining appropriate boundaries and patience when interacting with others.
- Documents all consumer interaction in medical record
- Maintains a professional-appearing workspace that promotes efficiency
- Assists consumers with concern and empathy, respects their confidentiality and privacy and communicates with them in a courteous and respectful manner
- Manages/oversees the waiting room area
- Ensures completion of intake and other paperwork by consumers
- Manages sign-in and security procedure for visitors
- Calls taxi cabs/Uber/PBHG drivers for consumer transportation, when needed
- Confirms doctors’ appointments for next day as assigned by Office Manager
- Reconciles payments received and locks deposit in safe
- Types and sends outreach letters as requested by clinical staff
- Follows procedure for closing building at the end of day
