Description:

  • Location: This opportunity will be onsite in our Surrey HQ Office.
  • Annual Base Salary: $47,500 - $52,900 CAD

FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST

Safe Software is looking for an adept multitasker with exceptional communication skills and a positive can-do attitude to join our Administration team as our next Front Desk Receptionist. As the first point of contact for our office, you will greet visitors, handle, screen, and forward incoming phone calls, oversee the receipt, sorting, and distribution of daily mail and deliveries, perform a variety of administrative tasks, arrange travel and accommodations for business and trade show trips, manage guest sign-in/out procedures and issue/retrieve visitor badges. You will be the heartbeat of our office, creating a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and efficiently managing the flow of information and resources within the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES

Safers come from a variety of backgrounds with a diversity in skills and knowledge. That said, we find that those who are most successful in this role have experience with the following areas.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 2+ years of experience in a Front Desk Receptionist role or a similar position, demonstrating a proven track record of administrative excellence.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, showcasing effective use of digital tools to support office operations.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance, embodying the company’s values in every interaction.
  • High emotional EQ, allowing for adept handling of various interpersonal dynamics and situations.
  • Resilience, resourcefulness, and a proactive approach to addressing and resolving issues.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with an ability to keep track of multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Effective multitasking and time management capabilities, with an aptitude for prioritizing tasks efficiently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High school diploma required

DESIRED SKILLS / BONUS POINTS:

  • Certification in Office Management is an advantage
  • Experience with Domestic and International shipping is an asset

Responsibilities:

As a Front Desk Receptionist, you will:

  • Warmly greet all visitors, ascertain their needs, and direct them accordingly, ensuring a positive and professional first impression
  • Handle, screen, and forward incoming phone calls, providing information as required.
  • Manage the receipt, sorting, and distribution of daily mail and deliveries.
  • Oversee outgoing postal mail, courier, and package shipments, both domestically and internationally.
  • Perform various administrative tasks such as scan-filings, purchasing of IT assets and materials for select stations and staff.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate/arrange travel and accommodations for Safers for business and trade show trips.
  • Manage guest sign-in/out and issue/retrieve visitor badges.
