Mindbody Wellness Centre is looking for a dedicated and friendly Front Desk Clerk with exceptional customer service skills and has a passion for helping others. The ideal candidate for this position must exhibit goodwill and ensure that all clients get a positive experience throughout their stay at the centre.
At Mindbody Wellness Centre, we call our front desk receptionist as Wellness Advisor as the role is more than administrative tasks. You are part of the client’s journey to feeling better and wellness. You are the matchmaker between client to treatment, first by understanding the needs of the client, then educating them the difference between modalities and connecting them to therapy. Often, patients resist therapy as they do not know what to expect and it is our job to share information about the modalities and therapist’s style to best match the two.

Mindbody Wellness Centre is dedicated to supporting a balanced, healthy lifestyle by bringing together a team of complementary healthcare professionals under one roof to provide an integrative approach to wellness. Working with our multidisciplinary team to resolve health issues from the inside out and to promote a healthy and active lifestyle, our practitioners are trained and experienced in a wide range of treatments, including manual therapy, complementary, and alternative medicine. Our team is passionate about bringing patients back to balance with happy minds and healthy bodies.

QUALIFICATIONS AND DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Must have weekend and weekday PM shift availability (Tuesday, Thursday & Friday evening availability is a plus)
  • Must be able to work for at least 10 hours a week
  • Ability to speak Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) is a plus
  • Strong computer skills (preferred)
  • Efficiency and ability to pay attention to detail
  • Ability to exhibit a positive attitude and work well with both patients and other staff members
  • Ability to multitask and work collaboratively with the staff members
  • Demonstrates self-initiative by actively seeking out opportunities to contribute to the team’s goals and taking on additional responsibilities when necessary
  • Excellent communication and hospitality skills
  • Demonstrates exceptional critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Maintains exceptional punctuality by consistently arriving on time for work and meeting deadlines

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and assist clients efficiently, courteously, and professionally at all times
  • Report to work on time and according to the posted schedule
  • Efficiently handle and respond to clients’ reservations, appointments, and booking inquiries online and in-person
  • Handle clients’ payments (online and in-person) and follow all cash handling procedures
  • Be knowledgeable on the basic information about our services to be able to guide clients through our offerings
