Work Model: Hybrid (On-site 2-3 days/week)
POSITION SUMMARY
As a Front-End Developer in the Driver & Vehicle group, you will play a crucial role in our newly formed Secure Image Management Systems (SIMS) DevOps Product Team. In this role you will work collaboratively with other Product Team members to develop a user friendly front-end for our new cloud-based SIMS application.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related field) or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- Knowledge of the following:
- Web performance optimization
- UI/UX principles
- Responsive design principles
- Composable web UIs
- Asynchronous programming
- DevOps and CI/CD practices
- Agile development practices
- Cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- 2+ years of web front-end development experience
SOFT SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Analytical/problem-solving skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Teamwork and collaboration
- Self-directed
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
- Fluency in English
- Ability to work on-site as required
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Secret (Level II) personal security clearance.
