ABOUT:

We are seeking an experienced Front-end Developer to join a team of highly ambitious and knowledgeable engineers to tackle complex challenges. The client is one of Europe’s leading venture capital firms, investing across 15 industries, including digital health, fintech, and mobility.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in E-Commerce/Web Shops: Proven track record in developing and managing e-commerce websites, including building product pages, creating and maintaining templates, managing content, and working with various shop systems.
• Core Web Development Skills: Strong proficiency in modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+). Experience with dynamic scripting using jQuery or advanced DOM manipulation techniques. Familiarity with CSS preprocessors such as SCSS or SASS, and experience implementing responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility standards.
• Web Performance Optimization: Skills in optimizing page load times, minimizing render-blocking resources, and implementing best practices like lazy loading, image optimization, and reducing JavaScript/CSS bloat.
• Development Practices: Familiarity with common development practices such as code reviews, unit and integration testing, version control (e.g., Git), and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Language Proficiency: Fluent in German, both written and spoken.

• Develop new features.
• Build reusable code for future use and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to improve usability and integrate front-end elements with server-side logic.
• Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions to maintain high-quality standards.
• Maintain and improve the performance of existing web applications by identifying and fixing bugs and bottlenecks.
• Stay up-to-date with technologies and industry trends.
