Role: Frontend (Vue.js) Developer
Day Rate: £350-£450 per day
Type: Contract (OUTSIDE IR35)
Duration: 2-3 months
Location: Portsmouth, UK
Working Arrangements: Ideally fully on-site or hybrid working will be considered.

CORE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Frontend Development

• Strong proficiency in Vue.js with experience in building complex, dynamic, and responsive user interfaces.
• Experience with component-based architecture and modular development.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and TypeScript.

Backend Integration

• Ability to consume and interact with RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with Python-based backends, especially FastAPI.
• Understanding of server-client data flow, including asynchronous operations and real-time updates.

Tooling and Ecosystem

• Proficient in using modern build tools like Vite for frontend projects.
• Familiarity with Tailwind CSS or other utility-first CSS frameworks.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

Communication

• Ability to work effectively with backend developers, designers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into functional interfaces.
• Clear documentation skills for maintaining frontend codebases

Development and Collaboration Tools

• Proficiency with Git version control and collaborative workflows.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments (e.g., using Jenkins).

Testing

• Experience writing unit and integration tests for frontend code.
• Familiarity with testing libraries like Vitest.

Performance Optimization

• Strong knowledge of optimizing frontend performance, including lazy loading, code splitting, and efficient rendering of visualizations.

Data Analysis Context

• Experience working with data-heavy applications, including time-series data or other “squiggly line” visualizations.
• Familiarity with handling large datasets efficiently on the frontend.
• Expertise in visualization libraries like plotly, or similar tools for data visualization.
