We are the Frontend Team of the TikTok Data-TnS. TNS stands for Trust and Safety, reflecting our responsibility to maintain a secure and trustworthy environment for users of ByteDance’s international products, including but not limited to TikTok.The positions we are recruiting for is a frontend intern responsible for general service and data services within this business. Our frontend team is composed of developers from various regions, including Vancouver, Singapore, Beijing, Shanghai, working on building systems for data analysis, customer service, algorithm management, and more.
We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2025. Internships at TikTok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Turn your ambitions into reality as your inspiration brings infinite opportunities at TikTok.
Internships at TikTok aim to provide students with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths. A vibrant blend of social events and enriching development workshops will be available for you to explore. Here, you will utilize your knowledge in real-world scenarios while laying a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. This Internship Program runs for 12 weeks beginning in May/June 2025. Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following summer internship start dates below:

Monday, May 19
Tuesday May 27 (Memorial Day May 26)
Monday, June 9
Monday, June 23
We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit to these start dates. Please state your availability clearly in your resume (Start date, End date).

Online Assessment
Candidates who pass resume evaluation will be invited to participate in TikTok’s technical online assessment in HackerRank.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Graduate in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during the Summer of 2025.
• Graduating December 2025 onwards with the intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship.
• Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in Javascript, React Project.
• Active on Github (with more repos or influential repos).
• Knowledge of testing, profiling, and debugging practices.
• Strong pairing skills.

  Job Information
  The base salary range for this position in the selected city is CAD$ 7280 - CAD$ 87360 annually.

  The compensation for this position is based on a monthly compensation structure. The range specified is the expected annual compensation for a person in this position.

• Responsible for the front-end technology development of various products, including web end, desktop end, mobile end, etc.
• Complete the design and development of user functions to ensure the compatibility of browsers or other end point devices.
• Optimize front-end performance and enhance User Experience through technical means.
• Design and develop common components, tools and class libraries to improve development quality and efficiency.
