JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Manager to oversee the daily operations of Hard Winter Bakery. The ideal candidate will be a natural leader and have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service in the food service industry. This role is crucial in ensuring a seamless customer experience, managing front-of-house staff, and maintaining high standards of service and organization.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the hotel or food industry is preferred.
  • Strong background in customer service with a focus on hospitality excellence.
  • Familiarity with cash handling procedures is essential.
  • Experience working in a kitchen environment or with food service operations is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required to effectively interact with guests and team members.
  • Experience using excel in an asset
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage front-of-house operations, ensuring a welcoming environment for all customers.
  • Supervise, train, and support front-of-house staff, fostering a positive team atmosphere.
  • Oversee cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy in transactions and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food service, quality control and special orders are seamless.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to enhance guest satisfaction. Including answering emails, receiving phone calls and helping to schedule peoples events and catering.
  • Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new front-of-house employees.
  • Implement and uphold health and safety regulations within the establishment.
  • Monitor inventory levels of supplies and coordinate with suppliers as needed. This role includes purchasing and inventory management.
  • Positive, friendly and proactive approach towards staff, customers and daily tasks.
  • As we are a food service business, Saturday work is mandatory and expected as is work surrounding any major food holidays. The full time schedule of this position is Tuesday - Saturday. The expected hours are 6:30 a.m to 2:30 p.m
