Description:

As a Front of house receptionist you will provide a full receptionist service, be first point of contact for patients and visitors attending the hospital in accordance with the best principles of customer care.
The candidate we are looking for will have a warm, compassionate manner, be helpful, friendly and approachable. They will take pride in looking after the public areas in and around the reception and will support the health and safety of all staff and patients by ensuring hygiene requirements such as face masks and hand sanitiser are being used when required.
Experience in customer care is essential and you must be confident in challenging negative behaviour, with the support of our security staff. You will be comfortable working with colleagues from a wide range of backgrounds and different levels of seniority, in addition to patients and visitors from across the community.
Communicating with patients, visitors, staff and external organisations treating
all enquirers in a kind, courteous, polite, positive and helpful manner
Assisting visitors, locating friends or relatives by reference to the hospital system
and, if necessary, by contacting the ward/department directly
Answering visitor and patient queries and requests or contacting someone else
who may be able to help and making every attempt to obtain the correct answer
Providing assistance to disabled visitors and patients and, if necessary, seeking
help from the portering team.
Handling anxious patients and their relatives with tact, patience and discretion.
Ensuring further distress is avoided.
Answering all telephone calls, emails and other communications in a courteous and timely manner
