Description:

The Children and Young People’s Division are looking to recruit a Front of house receptionist administrator permanent.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and bright individual who enjoys working in a busy, friendly, multi-disciplinary team environment to support us in the delivery of a quality service. You will work collaboratively to provide full administrative services to our Paediatric & Adolescent children and young person’s department at University College London Hospital. This is a permanent full- time role with working hours of 37.5 hours a week.
The successful candidate must have excellent customer service and communication skills, a high degree of empathy, diplomacy and integrity. You will be required to demonstrate sensitivity, an awareness of patients’ needs and a commitment to improving the patient experience.

This vacancy has been advertised in accordance with the new NHS pay rate which will take effect from autumn 2024. Please note if your employment starts before the 24/25 pay scales are implemented you will be paid under the 23/24 pay scales and any backpay will be adjusted accordingly. The postholder will be responsible for the following task

  • Booking in patient attending for Outpatient appointment for all paediatric and adolescent.
  • Booking Follow up Outpatient appointments.
  • Offer all patients who attend the department the opportunity to sign up for MyCare
  • Call reminders for Patients Outpatients appointments
  • Completing End of day process
  • Checking eRs referrals (Gp Request)
  • Booking rooms for clinical teams on Condeco system
  • Updating epic reports and work queues
  • Attending Theatre and Admission meetings
  • Supporting Service Manager and supervisor as and when required
  • Supporting 2 x ward cover
