JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 2-3 years’ experience working in a fast-paced service environment
  • Proven experience as a Shift Leader or relevant supervisory/leadership role
  • Strong administrative skills are a huge asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude
  • Ability to multi-task and take on multiple jobs/duties at the same time
  • A strong sense of urgency and excellent time-management skills
  • Commitment to upholding our service culture and standards
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Must be physical requirements (standing/walking for full shift)
  • Serving It Right Certificate is required

Responsibilities:

As the FOH Supervisor at ROAR you’ll often be the leader on duty responsible for overseeing the floor, which includes greeting and seating guests, serving guests, assuring compliance with all food and beverage safety rules, and providing hands on support for the FOH team. Responsibilities also include:

  • Train and mentor new team members, fostering a culture of learning, growth, and continuous improvement.
  • Assist in labour control, approving shift hours and reporting irregularities
  • Process server cash out paperwork, ensuring accurate and prompt tip out distribution
  • Lead and supervise restaurant staff during assigned shifts, including servers, bartenders, and support staff.
  • Ensure seamless operations during peak hours by effectively managing workflow, table rotations, and guest reservations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing any concerns or inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the restaurant, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Handle transactions and reconcile sales reports accurately at the end of each shift.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies for improving service quality, increasing efficiency, and maximizing profitability.
  • Act as a liaison between restaurant staff and management, effectively communicating feedback, suggestions, and concerns.
  • Assist in inventory management, participating in inventory counts and invoice processing
