Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE - TE MAHI

We are looking for an enthusiastic Front Office Duty Manager who knows how to get the best out of their team and lead from the front by setting and providing the highest levels of customer service. To be successful, you will have experience in a similar role, a passion for exceeding guests’ expectations, demonstrated operational leadership and organization skills, and a passion for manaakitanga - providing great hospitality.
The primary objectives of this role are to oversee operational matters relating to the hotel, deliver exceptional guest experience, problem solving in a timely manner and provide outstanding customer service.
This is a permanent, full-time role based at Sudima Christchurch Airport. The payrate for this role is $30.00 per hour with a guaranteed minimum of 32 hours per week. (This is a rotating roster and includes weekend shifts, and some graveyard shifts).

RESPONSIBILITIES | NGĀ HAEPAPA

  • Manage the hotel whilst on shift and when senior managers are not present
  • Ensure all complaints are dealt with appropriately
  • Ensure a smooth check in and check out process whilst on shift and ensure VIP guests are acknowledged appropriately
  • Attend to any emergency situations including security, maintenance, fire or evacuation
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with all hotel departments, teams, senior leadership and external stakeholders
  • Ensure Health, Safety and Hygiene Standards are being met and reported as per policy
