Southern Maryland Family Dental is a well-established, patient-centered practice committed to providing high-quality dental care in a warm and welcoming environment. We are seeking an experienced and organized Front Office Specialist to join our Front Office Team. This vital role ensures the smooth day-to-day operations of our practice while delivering outstanding service to our patients.Position Overview:

The Front Office Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the administrative functions of our practice. This individual will ensure that scheduling, patient communication, and front desk operations run seamlessly, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the office.Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling: Manage and optimize the patient schedule to ensure efficiency and productivity, including confirming appointments and following up on cancellations.
  • Patient Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service during check-in, check-out, and over the phone.
  • Insurance Coordination: Verify patient insurance benefits, obtain necessary pre-authorizations, and ensure accurate documentation for claims.
  • Financial Transactions: Handle patient payments, explain treatment plans, and provide clear financial options.
  • Team Support: Work closely with the clinical team to coordinate patient flow and ensure timely transitions between appointments.
  • Reporting: Track daily, weekly, and monthly metrics related to scheduling, collections, and patient retention.
  • Administrative Duties: Oversee patient records, maintain office supplies, and ensure adherence to office policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous dental front desk experience (minimum 2 years preferred).
  • Proficiency in dental practice management software; Carestack.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of dental insurance processes, including verification and billing.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
