Description:
Working in Front office trade support, you will join SIG’s growing Operations team. The role is focused on supporting trading activity from the point trades are executed by our traders through settlement, clearing and post-trade analysis. This ensures that you will gain broad exposure across the operational activities on the desk including settlements, reconciliations, and reporting. This is a superb opportunity for an individual with a keen interest in the financial markets to gain exposure within a true trading environment.
Candidates should have an excellent work ethic and willingness to learn. We are looking for sharp individuals who not only identify issues, but look for ways to solve them. Specific Job duties include: Perform intraday and next day trade reconciliation for both ETF and Option DesksExecution of OTC trades on Derivative ExchangesIdentify and resolve trade/settlement breaks. Liaise with other operation groups to ensure this is completed efficiently.Understand the life of a trade from the time it is executed to the time it settles in the accountAssisting the trading desks in managing internal risk exposures.Managing Commissions paid for OTC executions on a daily/monthly basis.Work with large amounts of data to create and distribute ad hoc reports as needed; look for long term solutions for reportingInteract with other areas of support on a daily basis and understand important risk, compliance, finance, and legal topics What we’re looking for3rd level degree1-2 year’s Industry experience within a similar roleAttention to detail and good organizational skills are essentialSelf-motivated and ability to use own initiativeKnowledge of and an interest in financial marketStrong communicator (verbal and written)Ambitious and self-motivated, not afraid to ask questions and use own initiativeEffective problem solving and analytical skills; including effective troubleshooting in a fast paced, time critical environmentAbility to work under pressure, multitask and prioritize
