Status: Full-time (depending on situation, Part-time or Fractional hours available)
Duration: Equivalent to minimum 520 Hours (or 3 months minimum)
Work location: Remote (with hybrid options in Toronto and Chicago only)
Compensation: Hourly (paid in equity compensation equivalent to CAD $32-35/hour)

  Role Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Frontend Development Intern to join our team. This role is ideal for a Master’s level student passionate about web development, design, and user experience. As a Frontend Development Intern, you will work closely with our design and development teams to create visually appealing and responsive web applications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with frontend frameworks such as React or Vue.js.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Develop and maintain responsive web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate design concepts into functional web pages.
• Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Conduct code reviews and participate in regular team meetings to discuss project progress.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in frontend development.
