Frontend Developer (Svelte, WinUI3)

Artinis is hiring a talented and driven frontend developer who is enthusiastic for innovative medical and neuroscientific applications. As a frontend developer, you will create and optimize user interfaces for innovative applications. You will work closely with our backend developers, who primarily use C++, and collaborate across various disciplines to deliver seamless and efficient software solutions. You will contribute to new and existing applications, transform software and UX design into working software, and test your code in accordance with project requirements and feature specifications. Furthermore, you will work in a young, dynamic and agile environment, think about optimal solutions in terms of efficiency and elegance. You will be joining the software development team of the research and development group and will collaborate with other disciplines such as our product and UI/UX graphics design team, the electrical and embedded engineering and biomedical engineering team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience as a frontend developer, particularly with Svelte or a similar framework.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Ability or willingness to learn C++/Rust for backend interactions.
• Preferably experience in server-client applications, backend programming and/or development of RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with C# and WinUI3 is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Dutch speaking is a plus.
• Enthusiastic, flexible, and able to function well in a dynamic, agile environment.
• Positive attitude, can-do mentality, sense of pragmatism, and flexibility.
• Ability to think problem-solution-oriented.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain user interfaces using Svelte and WinUI3 (XAML).
• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure smooth functionality.
• Translate feature requests and issue tickets into a software design and production-ready code.
• Contribute to software architecture and design discussions.
• Write unit and integration tests for your code, ensuring high-quality standards.
• Functionally test your applications, implemented fixes, and new features hands-on.
• Bridge the gap between design, technology, and user experience.
• Work independently within multidisciplinary project teams to translate user expectations into optimized code.
