Description:

Our client is looking for a Principal Frontend Engineer to join our team and help us invent the future of data analytics.
In this role, you will drive forward our client’s frontend architecture and technical direction, paired with plenty of hands-on development of highly technical data analytics workflows.
They have a culture of autonomy and ownership and hire engineers who are excited to drive the company forward.
As an early employee, you’ll help them craft their culture and will be aware of (or participate in) customer development and go to market.

About you:

  • You love to build well-designed products that delight users and solve real problems.
  • You have deep technical expertise in modern web frameworks like React and have worked with browser-native data technologies like Apache Arrow, Pyodide, and WebGL.
  • You know how to work effectively in large React codebases and dream in Typescript.
  • You can iterate quickly on frontend features and have a strong ability to balance code quality with product velocity.
  • You love teaching other engineers and can be an effective mentor for both junior and senior teammates.
  • You have good product design sense and have experience building out design systems.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience building data analytics applications.
  • Experience building products in a regulated field.
  • Familiarity with our stack: React / Redux / Zustand, GraphQL, Python, Redis, PostgreSQL, Flask, Celery, and Docker.
  • You’ve worked with modern data warehouses like BigQuery, Snowflake, Clickhouse, Redshift, and DuckDB.
  • Experience using AWS services like Cloudfront, S3, and Cloudwatch.

NOTE: This role is 4 days per week on-site in Soho, NYC
