REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in frontend development.
• Proficiency with React.js and Next.js, including server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG).
• Strong understanding of TypeScript, including advanced typing concepts.
• Solid knowledge of modern web development practices, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience working with APIs, including RESTful API integration.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Understanding of SEO principles and performance optimisation techniques.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

DESIRABLE SKILLS (NICE-TO-HAVE)

• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress.
• Experience with CSS-in-JS libraries such as Styled-Components or Emotion.
• Experience working with headless CMS platforms such as Contentful, Prismic, or Sanity.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure, Vercel, or Netlify.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, maintain, and enhance scalable frontend applications using React and Next.js.

• Write robust, maintainable, and well-documented code in TypeScript.
• Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Work closely with backend engineers to integrate and consume APIs.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to improve development practices.
