EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • College degree in Accounting/Finance or related work experience required
  • 3 years of general accounting experience required.
  • Two years experience working in a USAF Fuels specialty or civilian equivalency
  • Working knowledge of government contracting accounting practices preferred.
  • Fuels military equivalent certified qualifications.
  • Completed the USAF Fuels FMD or FMD 8 Course.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to pass a color vision test.
  • Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast paced environment on multiple projects, and have a strong attention for detail.
  • Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite of products including, Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
  • Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under a minimum of supervision.
  • Work independently to meet time critical deadlines
  • Efficiently resolve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division quickly and accurately
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Responsibilities:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish and operate the finance and budget office, coordinate data collection and documentation.
  • Prepare budgets and financial data for Fuels Terminal Manager review and approval.
  • Review and approve accounting and financial reports.
  • Oversee procurement operations, transactions and documentation to insure compliance with company policies and procedures, contract requirements and Government regulations.
  • Oversee and manage all business processes to include payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
  • Develop contract modification documents to include cost estimates and supporting rationale for modification.
  • Develop and submit monthly invoices to the Government.
  • Prepare monthly reports in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Serve as a key member of the Team Olgoonik quality effort. Share ideas and issues as a member of cross-functional team(s) assigned to improve standards and performance across the operation.
  • Deliver items to customers by verifying orders, inventory stock, and arranging transportation
  • Verify items shipped by matching bills, reconciling, and noting.
  • Keep customers informed by answering questions
  • Operation bulk storage, hydrants, checkpoint, lox, and be able to dispatch.
  • Accounting duties in accordance with USAF Technical orders and DLA Policies.
  • Computer administrative duties.
  • Computes the amount of fuel required for the safe completion of flight according to type of aircraft, distance of flight, maintenance limitations, weather conditions and minimum fuel requirements prescribed by federal aviation regulations.
  • Other duties may be assigned from time to time, to include changing tires, hose pulling and dispatching refueling units.
