Description:

Responsibilities:

Inbound operations

  • Ensure best turnover of the Goods In front by directing deliveries upon arrival and ensuring that safety protocols are followed.
  • Manage the handling of deliveries, which includes tipping or palletizing goods in accordance with safety procedures and organizing them into lanes based on specific guidelines, overseeing its processing, quality control checks, and flagging any necessary rework or exceptions.
  • You will understand how to prioritise deliveries based on sales plans and customer commitments, and ensure they are processed in line with BrandAlley’s Standard Operational Procedures.
  • Ensure that and exceptions are flagged, duly recorded and set aside for further examination and that any required rework is planned for and executed.
  • Ensure that stock is systematically located into correct zones and pick faces depending on stock type.
  • Manage carts to ensure processes are followed and exceptions are investigated and accounted for.

Outbound operations

  • You will be responsible for overseeing the picking, collation, and packing processes to ensure timely order dispatch in accordance with performance indicators.
  • Drive a culture of on time in full through internal quality checks.
  • Oversee the sortation and despatch of customer orders by courier and priority, ensuring any failed collections are escalated through direct contact.
  • Maintain correct level of accessible consumables throughout the departments to drive efficient working and eliminate downtime or non-value-added tasks.

Returns department

  • Ensure that the returns department is resourced in line with volume.
  • Ensure that returns are processed in accordance with SOP, that pristine stock is returned to pick, and exceptions are segregated for investigation.

  • Demonstrable Organizational Skills: You must be able to oversee order fulfilment. Strong organizational skills are essential to keep everything running efficiently.
  • Communication Skills: Proven ability to be able to communicate clearly with team members, and others in supervisory and management roles
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: You will encounter various challenges, such as stock discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, or staffing issues. You must be able to demonstrate you can think on your feet and find solutions.
  • Knowledge of Fulfilment Centre Operations: You will understand Fulfilment Centre processes, Health and Safety regulations, and equipment usage. You should be familiar with management systems and software and adhere to security and safety standards.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy is key during inbound processes through to order picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Safety Awareness: You will be expected to uphold safety rules and address any safety concerns promptly.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability and willingness to learn: You should be adaptable to changing priorities, unexpected issues, and varying workloads allowing you to make informed decisions in the interests of the FC operation.
  • Conflict Resolution Skills: You should handle disputes and conflicts professionally and maintain a positive work atmosphere.
  • A drive for sustainability with regards to correct segregation of waste, closing down / shutting off power where able and ensuring that recycling rates are as high as possible.
  • Proactive Learning: Actively seek opportunities for growth, continuously improving knowledge and skills.
