Description:

Lindsey McCarthy with Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity for a Full Charge Bookkeeper in Buffalo, New York. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will be responsible for a variety of tasks including handling customer invoices, managing payroll, bank reconciliations, and assisting in system improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle customer invoices, both accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage payroll and HR-related tasks for a team of approximately 16 people.
  • Conduct bank and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports.
  • Work closely with the accounting firm for tax-related matters on a yearly basis.
  • Assist in the preparation of trial balance and required tax forms.
  • Administer and periodically review various programs such as 401k, health, dental, disability, and business insurance.
  • Assist in budgeting activities.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of new systems.
  • Use ComputerEase software for various accounting tasks.
  • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
  • Experience with ComputerEase software preferred
  • Ability to manage Payroll operations efficiently
  • Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous experience in the construction industry preferred
