Description:
Lindsey McCarthy with Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity for a Full Charge Bookkeeper in Buffalo, New York. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will be responsible for a variety of tasks including handling customer invoices, managing payroll, bank reconciliations, and assisting in system improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Handle customer invoices, both accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage payroll and HR-related tasks for a team of approximately 16 people.
- Conduct bank and general ledger reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports.
- Work closely with the accounting firm for tax-related matters on a yearly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of trial balance and required tax forms.
- Administer and periodically review various programs such as 401k, health, dental, disability, and business insurance.
- Assist in budgeting activities.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of new systems.
- Use ComputerEase software for various accounting tasks.
- Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
- Experience with ComputerEase software preferred
- Ability to manage Payroll operations efficiently
- Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in the construction industry preferred
