Description:
Colleen McAuliffe at Robert Half is searching for a meticulous Full-Charge Bookkeeper in San Jose, California, 95134, United States. As a key member of our team, you will be entrusted with the company’s overall financial management and regulatory compliance. You will oversee the entire accounting process, manage bank and general ledger reconciliations, and process payroll. You will also prepare and update financial reports.
SKILLS:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, Microsoft Outlook
- Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations and Quickbooks Online
- Expertise in Bank Account Reconciliation and Legal Billing
- Possess proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, and Microsoft Outlook
- Demonstrated experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Solid understanding of Bank Reconciliations and Bank Account Reconciliation
- Prior experience in Quickbooks Online is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Legal Billing procedures and practices
- Able to perform full charge bookkeeping duties effectively
- Capacity to manage financial records and transactions accurately
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain the company’s chart of accounts in accordance with the financial structure
- Prepare and update balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports
- Analyze and report on financial status, including income statement variances, budget preparation, and analysis
- Oversee the entire accounting process, from data entry to filing tax returns
- Manage bank and general ledger reconciliations as well as payroll processing
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements
- Check and verify accounting and financial data
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
- Handle processes related to month and end-year processes, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, and capital assets reconciliations
