OVERVIEW

Lakehead University is seeking a talented and motivated Full Stack Developer & Cloud Administrator to join our dynamic Communications + Marketing team. This pivotal role involves designing, building, and maintaining websites and web applications that align with the university’s strategic goals. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in front-end and back-end development, database management, server- side scripting, and cloud server administration to deliver secure, scalable, and user- friendly digital solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience (5+ years).
• Proficiency in full-stack web development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and frameworks like jQuery.
• Expertise in managing and maintaining CMS platforms such as Drupal and WordPress.
• Strong knowledge of cloud services (e.g., AWS), server administration, and security practices.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (AODA, W3C) and user experience optimization.
• Proficiency in database design and management (MySQL, MSSQL).
• Experience with debugging tools, version control systems (Git), and responsive design.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
