Full Stack Developer

CDC Programs and Public Health Laboratories (PHLs) are generating high-throughput genomic sequencing data in support of surveillance activities and epidemiological analysis. The Advanced Molecular Detection (AMD) Platform will be developed with enterprise-level infrastructure as a comprehensive, cloud-based platform for multi-omic data exchange, management, transformation, and analysis by CDC and State, Tribal, Local, Territorial (STLT) partners, for use in outbreak detection, pathogen surveillance, and disease characterization and control. This task aims to create the minimum viable product (MVP) for this platform, which will deliver high performance compute capabilities in a secure computing environment to support genomic data and epidemiological metadata ingest, transformation and reporting for three CDC surveillance use cases. The MVP will be deployed into a User Acceptance Testing (UAT) grade cloud environment serving internal CDC enterprise users to address the three CDC genomic surveillance use cases

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma
• 4+ years of experience with designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications
• 3+ years of experience with .NET, and React
• 3+ years of experience with AWS (ECS, RDS, S3, ALB, NLB)
• Experience with Agile methodology, extreme programming, software engineering, product management, or software products
• Knowledge of DevSecOps best practices and CI/CD technologies (Github Actions preferred)
• Ability to use back end and front-end languages to develop complete solutions
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment
• Ability to acquire client requirements and resolve workflow problems through automation optimization
