In this role you’ll dive deep into code, create and refine our platform, and collaborate closely with our Produtc team. You’ll live and breathe PHP and are confident in making key strategic decisions about our product.
This role can be based in our Auckland or Wellington offices and will involve occasional travel between locations.
Please make sure you attach a cover letter with your application, letting us know why you might interested in joining us, and why you think you might be a great fit to join our team!
REQUIREMENTS

- A strong background in PHP and ideally know the ins and outs of Laravel and Tailwind CSS.
- Experience collaborating and leading user research interviews to help create a product that meets and exceeds customer needs.
- Confident using a range of product/project management tools, incl. Jira.
- An understanding of ImpactLab products and functional systems, and the ability to communicate our methodologies and product specifications clearly.
- Excellent communication skills and cross-discipline collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain high-quality applications using PHP, Laravel, Livewire, and Filament with Forge, Breeze, and Tailwind CSS to drive ImpactLab’s flagship products.
- Collaborate with our development partner to understand the codebase and processes, gradually taking on more responsibility as our internal team grows.
- Work with the Product Squad to design and enhance product features, prioritising user experience and intuitive design.
- Conduct user interviews to gather insights and ensure solutions meet customer needs.
- Participate in agile ceremonies with cross-functional teams, maintaining high code quality and productivity.
- Regularly optimise code for performance, scalability, and security, following industry best practices.
