We aspire to simplify the calculation of carbon emissions to enable companies to take data-driven decision-making on lowering their carbon footprint as efficient and swift as possible.
As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will be collaborating with our engineering team on the development of a software geared towards a national research project called DiCES.
We are developing the model that decides the future of used products in order to balance economical and ecological constraints of the industry. The project is a circular economy milestone, enabling companies to make quick decisions on heavy hardware products.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 2+ years experience in TypeScript, Node.js, React, AWS, Postgres, Git
  • Experience in a variety of automated testing tools of codebases
  • Proven ability to evaluate the right technical solutions for business problems
  • Familiarity with modern architectural patterns and design systems
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
Due to the fact, that this is a publicly funded research project, you will need a Bachelor’s Degree, a working permit in the EU and you need to work minimum 180 days per year out of Germany (personally, we do not think that this really makes sense, but sometimes we can not cut the burocracy).

WAS DU VON UNS ERWARTEN KANNST:

Our culture in one word? Trusting. At KMX our ambition is to build the world’s leading climate software solution. A solution that is built by a world class, remote first organisation where our people thrive. To do that, creating and maintaining an exceptional level of trust is our first priority.
How do we build trust? At KMX, we believe in the trust equation: (Credibility x Reliability x Understanding) / Self Orientation. In practical terms, this means:
Credibility: We strive to be highly credible in our own functions, remaining curious and constantly looking for ways to improve. For Engineering, that means delivering consistently not just on your tasks, but raising the technical bar for us all.
Reliability: We hold ourselves and our colleagues responsible to deliver great results, on time, every time and seek help early when we don’t see a way to deliver. For Engineering, that means your work is on time and in scope, and you’re not the blocker for someone else.
Understanding: We’re all human, and to trust each other we need to know each other. While we believe passionately in building a remote company, we also recognise we need to be together at least quarterly to build our understanding of one another, in turn make our remote work far more effective. We also believe in giving and receiving developmental and strengths-based feedback. We look for colleagues who share our view that feedback delivered well is a gift for your colleagues, and that not giving it holds everyone back.
Low Self-Orientation: Low does not mean no. We believe that people should be recognised and rewarded for their efforts, given a clear path forward in their career and armed with the tools necessary to keep developing. As a company we commit to putting those structures in place. In return, we expect colleagues to put the outcome and the customer first.
