Full Stack Engineer @ Editorial Area

Antwerp - As a Full Stack Engineer you will join Editorial Area in our IO CROWD team that works on our Print Ecosystem for all our Print News & Magazines Brands and builds technology based on Python and AWS Cloud (serverless).
Depending on the requirements we believe you should use the right tool for the job. Our backend services are written in either Python or Java.
For us it’s crucial that all team members are multi-skilled. So even the most seasoned backend engineers give love to the frontend or cloud infrastructure and vice versa from time to time.
You’ll work with a small team that is experienced with remote pair programming and has a high “Can Do!”-mentality, no silo’s to be found in this team.

YOUR KEY STRENGTHS?

• Back End stack(s): Microservices, REST/Event based integrations, DynamoDB, Python
• Cloud Stack: AWS Lambda (Python), ECS, EC2, SNS/SQS, IAM, VPC, API Gateway and S3
• Front End stack(s) : React, Thymeleaf, Javascript, SCSS…

Nice to have:Typescript, Webpack, Jest

• CI/CD knowledge: Infra-as-code, Gradle, Docker, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, Cloudformation, Ansible, Terraform
• Beyond that, DDD, the SOLID principles and Clean Code hold no secrets for you… TDD/BDD are second nature to you and you’ve at least heard of Hexagonal Architecture.
• Agile mindset and relevant experience with Scrum or other agile methodologies
• Curious and open-minded.
• Critical; always looking for the ‘why’ of things
• Passionate about development and always focused on quality
• Team oriented – going for victory together. Mob/Ensemble Programming, Pair Programming
