WHAT WE NEED
GPS Insight/Certified Tracking Solutions is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join our engineering team in Edmonton. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and maintaining our cloud-native software system built on the Microsoft .NET stack, with an API and site developed using ASP.NET.
CTS is rapidly growing and increasing the depth, breadth, and flexibility of our platform to deliver actionable insights and exceptional value to our customers. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will have a significant impact on critical projects, including architectural improvements to achieve the next level of robustness and scalability, integrating with the rest of GPSI’s software platform, and introducing new technologies to greatly increase our data management and analysis capabilities.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of experience developing software using the .NET stack (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core) or Flutter
- Solid proficiency in ASP.NET, including experience with building APIs and websites with C#.
- Delivering scalable, fault tolerant, highly available, and secure implementations of RESTful APIs and event sourcing systems.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience working with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards challenges.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Nice to Have
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as React
- Experience with mobile development, especially using Flutter
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using the .NET stack, including C#, ASP.NET, and related technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to design, implement, and deliver new features and enhancements.
- Write clean, efficient, and scalable code while adhering to best practices, coding standards, and company guidelines.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex issues, identify root causes, and deploy reliable fixes in a timely manner.
- Contribute to code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and helping to maintain the quality of the codebase.
- Participate in architectural discussions and decisions, contributing to the design of scalable and maintainable systems.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and apply that knowledge to improve our software and processes.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying areas for enhancement and suggesting solutions to optimize performance, security, and user experience.
- Mentor junior developers, helping them grow their technical skills and contribute effectively to the team.
- Work with our DevOps team to support and maintain our production environment
