At Round, a Product Engineer is more than just a developer. This role is at the intersection of engineering and product development, where you’ll be actively involved in shaping the user experience and functionality of our platform. Product Engineers work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and operations, to understand customer needs and translate them into scalable, impactful solutions. This role requires a mix of technical skills and product-oriented thinking, as you’ll be responsible not only for building features but also for understanding the “why” behind them to ensure they deliver real value to our users.

• You are a software engineer with 3+ years of experience,
• You have a track record of delivering high quality software with previous experiences.
• You have a solid foundation in back-end and database development, as well as a service based architecture.
• You are a builder at heart and leader by nature. You work to build trust with stakeholders, and enjoy building in ambiguity that comes with startups.
• You are adaptable and versatile, can pick up things and deliver results. You have a founder mentality and are often first to roll up your sleeves to solve problems.
• You are curious and hungry to learn. You enjoy working with different parts of the business, bonus points if you want to speak to customers and partners.
• You are a champion of Agile and Scrum methodology, obsessed with iterating the product by shipping regularly

As a Full-Stack/Backend Engineer you will play a pivotal role in building Round’s offerings. Working hands on with the founders and key stakeholders to bring prototypes and ideas to life.

• Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement high-quality, scalable solutions under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Contribute to the development and execution of the product roadmap, focusing on delivering features that enhance customer satisfaction.
• Build and maintain core components of Round’s products, working with both backend and frontend applications within a service-oriented architecture.
• Assist in setting up infrastructure and monitoring tools to ensure continuous integration, delivery, and robust testing practices.
• Work closely with the product and engineering teams to provide input on technical feasibility and assist in translating product requirements into engineering solutions.
• Participate in internal knowledge sharing and discussions, contributing to the team’s growth and innovation.
• Provide support for junior engineers, collaborating with senior engineers on onboarding and development as the team grows.
