Description:

SALARY: £40,000 - £50,000

We seek detail-oriented problem solvers who identify issues and develop innovative solutions to join our highly motivated team of engineers working remotely on technically challenging projects in collaboration with our highly focused product management teams. Your work will enhance our platform and create delightful experiences for our users. There are five roles available and you’ll report directly to our Head of Engineering.

You’ll be up-to-date with industry and technology trends and passionate about well-designed, structured code. A commitment to standards, testing, and following best practice processes is critical.
You’ll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that leverage the latest technologies, including Vue.js, Nuxt.js, and Typescript. We aim to deliver a seamless user experience that goes above and beyond.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 3 years of full-stack development experience using PHP, Typescript, Laravel, Vue.js, and Nuxt.js.
  • Solid understanding of web development technologies, including PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Practical experience with PHP 8.2 and Laravel 9+, emphasising a DevOps mindset, including observability, monitoring, and alerts.
  • Proficiency in working with APIs and integrating third-party services.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with an ability to troubleshoot application issues and understand their underlying causes.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with Tailwind CSS or other structure-based CSS standards, such as BEM and SMACSS.
  • A passion for following best practices and high standards in coding.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and enhancement of cross-platform applications using PHP, TypeScript, and state-of-the-art edge technologies.
  • Collaborate with our dedicated team to craft high-quality, responsive applications.
  • Showcase your skills by integrating these applications with third-party APIs and services.
  • Uphold standards by producing clean, well-documented, and easily maintainable code.
  • Use your problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and rectify application issues, understand the underlying causes, and devise comprehensive solutions.
