Anza is combining data, technology and expertise to revolutionize the outdated, manual solar and storage procurement process. In 2021, driven by these inefficient procurement processes, increasing volatility in supply chains and the ever-present need to reduce solar and energy storage project costs, we saw both a market need and an opportunity to dramatically improve procurement outcomes. As a result, members of the Borrego team launched Anza. Anza is a procurement platform and service that offers our customers a way to compare many options instantly and then select the highest-value solar and storage products for their projects. While no one individual will possess them all, the successful candidate will bring many of the following experiences, skills, and attributes:

• 6+ years of hands on technical experience
• 3+ years of Node.js and React experience (Typescript preferred)
• Demonstrated technical leadership and collaboration abilities
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, API design, and software architecture
• Experience developing cloud native applications (AWS, GCP, or Azure

Full stack technical leads at Anza are passionate builders, empathetic communicators, and proactive leaders. In this role, you’ll spend half of your time architecting and coding well thought out technical solutions, and half of your time ensuring your team thrives and grows with you. You’ll help distill complex requirements into actionable deliverables, and provide clear direction, mentorship, and support to everyone on your team. You’ll also have influence and a seat at the table for defining the overall engineering culture of Anza and ensuring we set a high bar for software development excellence.
We’re cloud native (GCP) and our technical stack is made up of TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, React, and PostgreSQL. We care deeply about developer experience and invest extensively into CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code. We expect our leads to have demonstrated experience with some or all of our technical stack.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Collaborate closely with product owners, designers, QA, and other engineering leaders to define pragmatic technical solutions within our agile process
• Lead and mentor a team of full-stack engineers to deliver exceptional software that solve real business challenges
• Set high standards by writing high-quality, thoroughly tested code, delivering well thought out Pull Requests, and architecting scalable implementations
• Champion technically sound and well-designed product decisions that meet our customers needs and contribute to the overall health of the platform
