Position: Access Control Security Guard
Site: London Health Sciences Centre - Victoria Campus
Site Address: 880 Commissioners Road, London, ON N6A 5W9
Status: Full Time
Hours: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 2000-0530hrs
Pay Rate: $18.00/hr
Posting Date: February 6, 2025
Closing Date: February 13, 2025
Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement - calculating after 88 hours bi-weekly

The day-to-day work activities of an Access Control Security Guard include, but are not limited, the following duties:

  • Control entry and access to the hospital
  • Ensuring compliance with the standards, rules, and regulations at the hospital
  • Able to use tact and diplomacy in dealings across a range of settings and situations
  • Ability to maintain and enforce access control procedures
  • Solid understanding of emergency and standard operating procedures
  • Deal with trespassers and unauthorized persons found on the property, in a fair and safe manner, by enforcing the Trespass to Property Act
  • De-escalate emergency/crisis situations

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated punctuality and reliability, tact, and diplomacy
  • Standard First Aid, CPR Level C
  • Valid Ontario Security Licence
