QUALIFICATIONS:

· Completed post secondary educational program in Office Administration and/or Human Resources program or a related field.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
· Basic understanding of HR practices and employment legislation is an asset.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Previous experience in an HR role or internship is a plus.
· Familiarity with the WSIB Excellence Program or similar compliance programs is beneficial.

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Under the guidance of the Senior Management Team, the successful candidate will:
· Assist in managing Human Resources duties
· Provide office administration related support

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assist with Office and/or HR filing and maintaining employee records and files.
· Support the WSIB Excellence Program by tracking and organizing related documents.
· Collaborate on the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
· Provide administrative support for Office and/or HR initiatives and projects as needed.
· Assist in other administrative duties as assigned.
· Assist Management with gathering information regarding employment decisions.
· Track and assist with health & safety training/certification completion.
· Assist in planning, tracking and filing annual performance reviews.
· Assist in planning and tracking departmental audits.
· Create and maintain an HR action register that includes important dates (ie. Benefits enrollments and changes, expiring certifications, WSIB Excellence Program dates & deadlines)
