Description:

We are looking for a Head Housekeeper (full-time) to lead our Housekeeping team including some basic receptionist duties at our lovely guest houses situated by Brighton’s seafront.
You will have an important role in making sure our guests have the best experience possible.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Hard working, works well under pressure, can manage strict deadlines, follow repetitive tasks and a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • A positive problem solving attitude, with a warm and welcoming personality, with the ability to motivate, train, build/ develop and lead the housekeeping team.
  • Knowledge of linen orders, counting and laundry operations.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards.

  • Excellent customer relation skills.
  • You must excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure.
  • Eager and focused to exceed guest expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Housekeeping Department.
  • Cleaning of rooms, communal areas, changing of beds, laundry duties.
  • Being the first point of call for anything housekeeping related.
  • Supervise all housekeepers, to ensure guests receive the highest standard of cleanliness.
  • Conduct daily guest room and public area checks.
  • Assist in recruiting and retaining a strong housekeeping team.
  • Tracking and ordering all supplies, linen and complete regular linen inventory counts.
  • Organise monthly deep cleans.
  • Assist in the training of all new and existing team members.
  • Basic receptionist tasks such as answering phone calls, checking guests in and out etc.
