REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be willing to travel throughout our service area
  • Valid physical therapy assistant license in Maryland
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in home health or a related field, focusing on treating accident and injury patients.
  • Have graduated from a two-year college-level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, as indicated by school transcript or diploma
  • Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injuries and experience working with insurance companies and case managers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patients’ homes.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide skilled physical therapy, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and education on injury prevention.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, other healthcare professionals, insurance adjusters, and case managers to coordinate patient care and ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and billing information.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on proper techniques for exercises and activities of daily living, as well as strategies for managing pain and reducing the risk of re-injury.
