Description:
Derrycourt are delighted to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Learning & Development Executive in a Healthcare setting.
In this role, you will work closely with both the on-site Healthcare Cleaning Services Manager and the Company Learning & Development Manager to oversee the scheduling, design, delivery and development of the site-wide training plan that aligns with both our company and site training strategies.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in the cleaning industry is desirable.
- Must have written and spoken English fluency.
- Desirable to have a second language.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office i.e. Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
- Ideally have completed a Train the Trainer Level 6 and Manual Handling Instructor Qualification.
Note: As with all positions, due to the nature of our business, key responsibilities will evolve and change over time
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the integrated training process across the cleaning services function on site.
- Be a role model for cleaning standards and Derrycourt Company values to all employees on-site.
- Work closely with site senior management to assess training needs at the site level, utilising insights from individual training records, competency checklists and performance development reviews.
- Conduct thorough training needs analysis within specific areas of the hospital to pinpoint competency or knowledge gaps.
- Plan and schedule both new internal and external training opportunities for each area/position, as well as necessary refresher training based on set expiry dates i.e. manual handling training every 3 years.
- Develop and roll out procedures, knowledge resources, and job aids to evaluate and support the effectiveness of performance improvement, learning, and development initiatives.
- Deliver specialised training such as Infection Prevention & Control, Manual Handling, BICSc Cleaning Skills and other tailored internal training sessions and assessments as needed. Training will be provided to the successful candidate on the specialised training skills.
- Facilitate employee site inductions, cleaning equipment training, client care i.e. and other in-house instructional training courses.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of all training initiatives, including in-house programs and external courses.
- Maintain an up-to-date training matrix for all for all employees to ensure that all mandatory training has been completed for all in a timely manner.
