Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
Mount Sinai Education Inc. (aka Math Project) is looking to hire a Mathematics Educator with a strong interest in teaching mathematics and improving student achievements. An established, award-winning institute with a strong track-record in the K-12 mathematics education space is looking to strengthen educational offerings. In addition to the teaching responsibilities, the educator may also provide support to improve the company’s operational, administrative and managerial processes. This position offers potential long-term opportunities for career growth in a collaborative and engaging environment.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Strong mathematics and computer skills
- Strong written and verbal English skills
- Prior teaching experience desirable
- Excellent communication skills and be able to simplify concepts for students
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and diplomacy skills, as well, be able to motivate children
- Professional and pleasant demeanor
- Superior communication, grammar and interpersonal skills (written & oral)
QUALIFICATION:
- A record of excellence (grade A or higher) in high school and/or university level math course at a Canadian University is a must (unofficial/official transcript must be submitted)
SPECIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- This job requires you to work remotely from Canada.
- Must have a functional laptop, a smart phone and a strong internet connection to work from home
- Having a tablet and stylus to be able to project their writing on to the screen would be helpful but not required
- The candidate must be flexible to a 5 to 8-hour work day starting in the afternoon
- May be required to work on weekends (from 30 to 44 hours a week/ 6 days a week) if business needs change
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 44 per week

Responsibilities:
- Teach math to students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 and grade work
- Assist with content development for our online, K-12 math curriculum
- Analyze student performance reports to assist with improving learning and administrative processes
- Involved in writing blogs on K-12 mathematics education
May also be involved in:
- Content creation for our digital marketing efforts
- Research e-commerce marketplaces and provide insights into improving our products/services/curriculum
- Research and integrate ed-tech applications to enhance student engagement
