Description:

Liberty Tax Service in Burnaby is currently seeking a Full time Receptionist . The Receptionist greets clients arriving at the office, answers and forwards telephone calls, takes messages, and performs other clerical duties. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12 or GED required
  • 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced administrative role

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Strong personal organizational skills as they relate to workload, time management and setting priorities in an unsupervised environment
  • Effective problem solving and negotiating skills
  • Effective conflict resolution skills
  • Type 60+ words per minute
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $18.00-$19.50 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Education:

  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

  • administrative assistant: 2 years (preferred)
  • Administrative Assistants & Receptionists: 2 years (preferred)
  • receptionist: 2 years (preferred)

Responsibilities:

  • Take drop offs and ensure all the required information is provided by the client
  • Take payments for completed returns and records it on our system
  • Maintain communications with clients when their returns are ready to be picked up
  • Maintain switchboard and direct incoming calls
  • Take messages and forward to voicemail accordingly
  • Schedule appointments and update the calendar
  • Prepare mails to be send out and track them in our sheets
  • Open incoming mail, sort and distribute as necessary
  • Prepare bank deposit and bring to the bank
  • Handle all miscellaneous request from all front office personnel
  • Ensure that all office supplies are adequate
