Summary
The IT company Andersen invites an experienced Backend Developer (.NET/C#) to join its team for working with a German company.
The customer is a German-based, globally operating technology company. It provides innovative and reliable solutions in the fields of Smart Mobility Solutions and Advanced Photonic Solutions. The company’s 4,000 employees are represented in Europe, the USA and Asia-Pacific with an extensive network of trusted partners. The headquarters is located in Jena, Germany.
The project is the maintenance and improvement of professional evaluation software for traffic safety. It processes data from traffic enforcement systems.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining C# backend components that power our web application.
  • Collaborating with the product, design, and engineering teams to understand requirements, and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, adhering to industry best practices and our internal coding standards.
  • Participating in code reviews, and providing constructive feedback to your peers.
  • Implementing and optimizing RESTful APIs, and ensuring they are secure, efficient, and easy to use.
  • Working with DevOps to deploy and monitor backend and frontend components, and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
  • Continuously improving the performance, reliability, and security of our systems, and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the field.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or an Apprenticeship Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience as a Fullstack Developer, preferably with C#, .NET Core for 3 years.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture, and experience with distributed systems, message queues, and data persistence.
  • Proficient in C#, .NET Core, and related tools and frameworks, as well as in TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and related frontend technologies.
  • Proficiency in React.js and related libraries.
  • Familiarity with Git and version control.
  • Experience with Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices.
  • Ability to write automated tests.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, and knowledge of API design principles and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Level of English - from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Passion for sophisticated design, problem-solving, and quality products.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, preferably MS Azure), and experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker).
