MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary Diploma or Degree in Computing Science or Management Information Systems.
  • Minimum 3 years as a Data or Reporting Analyst.
  • Experience with ERP Applications, both HR and Finance.
  • Expertise in PeopleSoft Application functionality and knowledge of the technical components and data structures of the application.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data querying and extraction.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms).
  • Solid understanding of data governance, data quality, and data integration best practices.
  • The ability to communicate effectively, and collaborate with business users/stakeholders.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, managing time and resources effectively to achieve results, effectively focusing on workload.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, or working with large, complex datasets.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and data storage solutions.
  • Experience with large post secondary institutions is an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate and collaborate with Business and Technical teams in system upgrades, the design and development of new modules and/or processes, and the implementation of new solutions that will enhance business processes and user experience.
  • Investigate and analyze data requests to determine expected outcomes, business/stakeholder requirements, and the best method for generating and accessing the information.
  • Develop SQL queries to extract data and maintain dashboards using data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Consult and/or collaborate with other subject matter experts and business units & IST, Analytics and Institutional Research (PAIR), and Programmers/Developers as appropriate.
  • Inform the identification of key performance indicators that can support the measurement and monitoring of business performance toward strategic goals.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, including business process flows, system specifications, reporting processes/methodologies and training materials.
