Description:

Overview
The Analyst is responsible for providing business and analytical assistance in support of the maintenance, modification, and enhancement of the Oracle E-Business Suites (EBS) associated with Finance and Supply Chain functions. Modules supported by this job function include specifically, but are not limited to, Finance modules such as Project Accounting, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger, Supply Chain modules such as Sourcing, Item Master, Supplier Master, iProcurement, Payables, Inventory and Order Management, and User Provisioning activities as needed to maintain and support Company operations. The Analyst Oracle Support, works directly with Oracle, outside consultants, and internal support staff and business users, to facilitate the implementation of multiple Oracle provided system patches and scripts associated with the aforementioned Finance and Supply Chain functions into a production environment. Specific responsibilities include execution of test scripts and review of patch and script test results prior to migration to production to insure they provide the intended result. The Analyst Oracle Support acts as a liaison between the business user, the Oracle Support Team, and Information Resources and reviews, analyzes, and triages commonly occurring system defects, enhancements, and change requests to determine potential solutions and associated work scope. The Analyst Oracle Support prepares non-complex functional design documents required to document EBS Supply Chain modifications and enhancements. All the above activities may, upon occasion, be performed under the direct or indirect supervision of a Senior Planning Analyst within the Oracle Support team.

ResponsibilitiesCore Responsibilities

  • Participate in the process of implementing multiple Oracle provided system patches related to the aforementioned Finance, Supply Chain modules into production, including execution and documentation of test scenarios and scripts, performance of reviews and preparation of functional documentation necessary to insure the patches provide the intended results and system functionality.
  • Work with Oracle, outside consultants, internal business users, and other Oracle Support Team resources to identify potential solutions to system issues, define functional requirements associated with proposed modifications and analyze data used in the preparation of system enhancements for the application.
  • Communicate system related information, including specific functional system guidance with internal business customers
  • Prepare and/or review and document non-complex functional designs for system modifications/enhancements.
  • Provide daily production break/fix support.
  • Support of the monthly accounting close cycle and other Company business functions.
  • Execute specific test conditions and define test results for performance and user acceptance testing.
  • May perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

QualificationsRequired Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Engineering or related discipline. and minimum of two of work experience in a Finance or Supply Chain related discipline

Preferred Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Engineering or related discipline. and minimum of two of work experience in a Finance or Supply Chain related discipline

Relevant Work Experience

  • Two or more years of work experience in a Finance or Supply Chain related discipline Required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills Required
  • Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills Required
  • Demonstrated analytic skills Required
  • Ability to work in a team environment Required
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines Required
  • Demonstrated functional knowledge of modules associated with Finance and/or Supply Chain modules of Oracle E-Business Suite. Preferred

Additional Physical Demands

  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
  • Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed.
