Not only do we pour beer, but we host small events, corporate functions and gatherings including nights where our fantastic beer community join in, industry nights, movie nights… you just never know what you are going to get, and we’re always looking to find ways to embed into our community even further.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has previous experience in hospitality management or coordinating functions and enjoys being hands on in the venue. We believe the Functions Coordinator and Duty Manager is the beating heart of sharing our guest experience with the masses, bringing to life our brands in a way that showcases our unique culture and values, with an impeccable hospitality experience. We’d love our successful candidate to think of guests first, communicate confidently, have a love of beer and be able to represent our brands in the simple, down to earth style we value so much.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire process of venue functions from enquiry to execution, ensuring high customer satisfaction and professionalism.
- Drive revenue growth by managing bookings and actively pursuing new business opportunities.
- Coordinate with the venue manager and catering suppliers, providing regular updates and ensuring all functions are well-organised.
- Proficient in Excel, as well as tech savvy to optimize reporting through our function booking platform.
- Lead daily operations and casual staff team, ensuring RSA and OH&S practices followed.
- Have the ability to manage multiple events and timelines with ease and work under pressure while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
The important bits: This is a Part-time 12 month Fixed Term Contract role (4 days per week/30 hours per week) at our Byron Bay brewery that will require flexibility to work both night and weekend functions. You must hold a current RSA and have full working rights to work in Australia.
